Characteristics of Madiun State Polytechnic Education
The purpose of the establishment of a polytechnic educational institution is to provide learning experiences towards the formation of expertise and skills in a science, technology, and art. The characteristics of the education of PNM that distinguish from other diploma education programs are:
- Applying a dynamic curriculum and syllabus that is oriented to the development of science and technology, and the needs of the business world and industry;
- Education is carried out with a package system for 6 (six) semesters for the Diploma III program
- The teaching and learning process is carried out intensively with a face -to -face number of 32 hours per week;
- The number of weeks of lectures every semester is 16 weeks;
- The time allocation of time every lecture is 50 minutes;
- Giving a greater portion to the practice course, with the composition of the theory and practice course is 40%: 60%;
- The teaching and learning process is held in small classes with a maximum number of students per class 30 students to improve the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process;
- Implement a drop out system (drop out) in the implementation of education as a way to improve the discipline and academic quality of students/ graduates;
- Providing practical facilities in the form of laboratories, workshops, and studios; And
- Applying the Field Work Practice Program for students in semester 6 Diploma III program.
