Madiun State Polytechnic Railway Applied Undergraduate Study Program

Profile

The Madiun State Polytechnic Railway Diploma 4 study program was established in 2018 and began accepting students in the 2018/2019 academic year. The basis for establishing this study program is a letter of mandate/assignment from the Directorate General of Institutions for Science, Technology and Higher Education, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education number 1795/C.C/KL/2018. This assignment was confirmed by the issuance of the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia number 624/KPT/I/2018 concerning Permits to Open the Applied Undergraduate Railway Study Program at the Madiun State Polytechnic. The mandate letter and establishment decree can be seen in the attachment.

Another reason for establishing this study program is the existence of the railway industry (PT INKA) in the city of Madiun and the potential workforce in the railway sector in Indonesia which by 2025 will reach 30,000 people.

Graduate Competencies

1. Able to develop railway technology and work in fields related to railway technology.
2. Able to design and design structural elements of railway systems.
3. Able to design train control systems based on SNI and ISO standards by taking into account economic, K3 and environmental factors.
4. Able to carry out testing and measurement of instrumentation in train control systems based on SNI procedures and standards.
5. Have professional skills in the field of railway propulsion.
6. Able to design train electrical systems.
7. Able to control train movement and electricity generation system equipment.
8. Able to carry out production process management, production process control and quality control in the railway industry.
