18 Madiun State Polytechnic Lecturers Passed the Non-Degree Program for Improving the Competency of Vocational Lecturers in 2023

Another encouraging news came from Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM). This time it came from 18 PNM lecturers who passed the 2023 Non-Degree Vocational Lecturer Competency Improvement Program. The announcement was contained in a letter from the Directorate General of Vocational Education Number 2838/D.D5/DV.05.03/2023 dated July 4 2023.

The Non-Degree Program for Increasing the Competency of Vocational Lecturers is the realization of collaboration between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) and the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP) from the Ministry of Finance. This program is also a form of the government's commitment to developing Indonesian human resources who are superior, cultured and have mastery of science and technology.

Launching the page kemdikbud.go.id, Dr. Ir. Kiki Yuliati M.Sc as Director General of Vocational Education (Dirjen Diksi) said that the program aims to increase the competence, insight and knowledge of lecturers regarding the development and dynamics of industry in the ecosystem and governance of vocational universities.

In the letter announcing participants who passed the 2023 Non-Degree Vocational Lecturer Competency Improvement Program, there were six schemes, both certification and training (internship), at home and abroad along with the number of participants who passed each scheme.

These schemes include Domestic Competency Certification (400 participants), Domestic Professional/Industrial Certification (185 participants), Industrial Training (Apprenticeship) (55 participants), Overseas Competency Certification (47 participants), Overseas Professional/Industrial Certification (46 participants), Overseas Higher Education Training (Internship) (51 participants).

Meanwhile, for PNM itself, the 18 lecturers who passed were spread across five schemes, namely Domestic Competency Certification (3 lecturers), Domestic Professional/Industrial Certification (12 lecturers), Overseas Competency Certification (1 lecturer), Overseas Professional/Industrial Certification (1 lecturer), Overseas Higher Education Training (Apprenticeship) (1 lecturer).
