
Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) students held an updated Entrepreneurship course through an activity entitled "1-Day Bazaar Exhibition With Young Entrepreneurs" on Tuesday (9/05). Taking place in Hall Building C, Campus 2 PNM, the one-day bazaar activity was attended by students participating in the Entrepreneurship course from the Railway Engineering (TKA) and Computer Control Engineering (TKK) Study Programs.
A total of 28 groups from seven classes seemed enthusiastic about presenting their goods and services for sale. Each group consisting of 4-5 people is required to sell a minimum of three different items. The goods and services sold are varied, ranging from food and drinks, key chains, clothes, knit bags, shoes, even shoe cleaning services are available.
According to the lecturer in the Entrepreneurship course Andhika Putra W, Dr., S.ST,. M.Pd, this course aims to instill a business spirit in students to become young entrepreneurs.
“The aim of this course is to instill a business spirit to becomeyoung entrepreneurs.”
Before carrying out actualization, students have received mentoring which is preceded by theory classes. It doesn't stop there, after the actualization activity the students will return to class to carry out an evaluation.
"For those who have never experienced starting a business before, will it be different after taking part in this activity," said Andhika.

Even though the "1-Day Bazaar Exhibition With Young Entrepreneurs" is a course actualization activity, not all students participating in the Entrepreneurship course are just starting to practice entrepreneurship today. Some students had even opened businesses before this actualization activity was held.
One of them, Sukma and Akbar, started opening a tea stand under the Mongtea brand three months ago in the Gulun area. Akbar admitted that the Entrepreneurship course really helped them in running their business. Moreover, lessons about how to manage finances and selling tips that help their business.
In contrast to Akbar, Egita, who at the time of his actualization was selling bomboloni with the Say Bomboloni brand, admitted that he was interested in continuing his business online because of the Entrepreneurship course.
"I make the donuts myself at home with help from my mother. Mother already sells regular donuts which are not bomboloni. However, because of this course, I am interested in continuing to sell bomboloni online," said Egita when more than half of the bomboloni she brought were sold out.
As additional information, according to Andhika, the actualization activity for the Entrepreneurship course has several assessment points. These include the criteria for the product being sold and how to offer the product, the use of social media to promote the product, the presence of labels such asprice listor price list and alsopackagingor packaging, payment methods that are not only cash but can also use electronic money, as wellserviceor customer service. *(Public Relations Team/PIP PNM)
