The Center for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (PPMPP) Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) again held technical guidance (Bimtek) for Curriculum Development in the Joint Lecture Room, Building C, Campus 2 PNM on Friday (28/07). This activity is a continuation of the first technical guidance which was held about three weeks ago on Friday (07/07). The participants for the second technical guidance were more or less the same as the first technical guidance, plus a new laboratory head who was also invited.

Just like the first technical guidance, the resource persons presented were Agus Nugroho, S.T., M.T. who came from the Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Vocational School. This second technical guidance continues the material from the first technical guidance which discusses graduate profiles and learning outcomes. Continuing the previous material, the second technical guidance examines more deeply how to validate learning outcomes which will later be reduced to courses.

Chairman of the PPMPP PNM Learning Development Work Team, Kumala Mahda, said that the technical guidance resource person advised that study programs should not compile learning outcomes that come from inheritance, grants, orfitlogy.

"So (ed: learning outcomes) have a basis, they have been validated, so that the final learning outcomes are really needed or needed.createby study programs for students," explained Mahda.

Furthermore, there are two to three matrices to validate learning outcomes that have been prepared and adapted to the National Higher Education Standards (SN Dikti). Through this process, learning outcomes may be deleted if during the validation process there are discrepancies with the matrix.

After the various stages above, final learning outcomes will be produced, in which there are four aspects. Among them are final aspects, knowledge, general skills and special skills in accordance with SN Dikti.

"Once the learning access is complete, the finals are further revealed to be the study material. This study material is used as the basis for the decline of the lecture," Mahda explained.

Mahda said that currently the technical guidance has not fulfilled 100% of the curriculum document requirements. However, the study program has reached 75-80% of the curriculum document requirements or can be said to be almost complete.

"So our goal is to renew the curriculum, revitalize the curriculum for each study program. Our target is to have this document ready and implemented next year." he said.

The Head of PPMPP provided additional explanations during the technical guidance.

Mahda said that curriculum updates could not be implemented immediately because lecture activities were already underway. All teaching distributions have beensettingso that the new curriculum document is expected to be implemented next year.

"We hope that the new curriculum document can be implemented next year. So this year we are preparing it and finalizing it," concluded Mahda. *(Public Relations Team/PIP PNM)
