2024 Capital Market Education by the PNM Capital Market Study Group Presents a Number of Novelties

PNM – Capital Market Education, which is one of the annual routine activities by the Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) Capital Market Study Group (KSPM), is again presenting an inspiring seminar. Not only the seminar entitled "Strategies And Innovations for Sustainable Investment”,This year's series of activities also has a number of novelties.

For the record, Capital Market Education is a form of collaboration between PNM and PT. Indonesian Stock Exchange and Phintraco Securities. Head of the Capital Market Laboratory and Investment Gallery of the Indonesian Stock Exchange PNM, Ulfa Rahmawati, S.E., M.Sc. said that capital market education activities aim to provide and increase financial literacy, especially investment in the capital market for students.

Taking place in the PNM Campus 1 Auditorium, the series of Capital Market Education activities took place over two days, starting 17-18 September 2024. Seminar participants came from 245 third semester students of the PNM Accounting Department, divided into two days.

Different from previous years, this year the PNM Stock Exchange Gallery is switching regions. "For this year, the PNM Stock Exchange Gallery is changing regions, from being under the auspices of the East Java Representative Office of the IDX and the East Java Representative Phintraco to the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) Central Java 2 Representative Office (KP) and Phintraco Sekuritas Solo." Ulfa explained.

The presenters at this seminar also followed this regional transition. These include BEI KP Jateng 2 and Phintraco Sekuritas Solo. Apart from that, this year BEI is also collaborating with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) as the financial services industry supervisory institution to provide material in a series of Capital Market Education activities. Some of the presenters were Syarifatus Salafin and Arief Rachman from OJK Kediri, Ari Seta Kurniawan from BEI KP Jateng 2, and Kartika Nugroho from Phintraco Sekuritas.

Different from previous years, this year there is something new in the series of Capital Market Education activities by KSPM PNM, namelyStocklab Education.Stocklab Educationis an educational game with card media that is used to better understand investment in the capital market.

Apart from PNM students, this activity was also attended by students from other campuses in the Madiun Raya area which are also under the auspices of BEI KP Jateng 2. These included students from PGRI Madiun University, Merdeka University, and the Ponorogo State Islamic Institute. On activitiesStocklab EducationThe students had the opportunity to be taught directly by the BEI KP Jateng 2 and OJK teams regarding investment in the capital market.

Not only that, another interesting agenda that was presented was a photo/video content competition related to a series of Capital Market Education activities. "OJK facilitates content video/photo competitions related to Capital Market Education activities during the event." Ulfa said.

Ulfa hopes that through Capital Market Education activities students can better understand the importance of financial management. "With this activity, it is hoped that students will be able to realize and better understand the importance of financial management, how students can wisely allocate the funds they have for future investments, instead of using them for gambling.onlineor other things that could be detrimental to the student's future."
