Madiun – Monday (8/8), the P1 Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) Professional Certification Institute (LSP) held Competency and Professional Certification activities for Vocational Students in 2022. The series of activities for implementing Competency Certification (Sertikom) consisting of debriefing, competency tests and a plenary session on the results of the competency tests took place from 28 July - 10 August 2022.
This year is the third time LSP P1 PNM has held Sertikom. Two years previously, LSP P1 PNM collaborated with INKA and external LSPs to organize Sertikom. However, at the beginning of 2022, LSP P1 PNM has received a license from BNSP (National Agency for Professional Certification) to organize Sertikom with six schemes. This time LSP P1 PNM received grant funds from the Ministry of Education and Culture for a total of 240 students.
The six PNM Certikom implementation schemes in 2022 are Junior Engineer, Welding Foreman, Assistant Manager for Low Voltage Utilization Installation Design, Main Computer Network Technician, Secretary, and Tour Leader. The Sertikom examiners are PNM lecturers who already have certificates as assessors. Meanwhile, the competency test locations (TUK) for the six schemes also vary, both at Campus 1 and Campus 2 of PNM depending on the Sertikom implementation scheme.
The following is a list of the number of participants and TUK Sertikom 2022 PNM:
-Junior Engineer (5 packages / 50 students): TUK TKK (Lab.302) Campus 1 PNM
-Welding Foreman (4 packages / 40 students): TUK Automotive Machinery (Bench Work and Welding Workshop) Campus 2 PNM
-Assistant Manager for Low Voltage Utilization Installation Design (3 packages / 30 students): TUK TL (Lab.316) Campus 1 PNM
-Main Computer Network Technician (3 packages / 30 students): TUK TI (Lab.214) Campus 1 PNM
-Secretary (5 packages / 50 students): TUK AB, Adbis Building, Campus 2 PNM
-Tour Leader (4 packages / 40 students): TUK BI, Adbis Building, Campus 2 PNM.
The competency test is designed to assess competency which can be carried out using direct observation/demonstration practices, written questions, oral questions, portfolio verification, interviews and other methods that are reliable and objective, and are based on and consistent with the certification scheme.
The Competency and Professional Certification Program is one way to prepare quality Indonesian human resources (HR) that have global competitiveness. This activity aims to improve the quality and competence of Vocational Higher Education graduates so that they are in line with the needs of the industrial world.
