PNM – The Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) Senate open meeting to close the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) 2023 and the Inauguration of New Students for the 2023/2024 Academic Year was held on Friday (18/08/2023). The activity which took place in the PNM Campus 1 hall was attended by around 250 new student representatives.
During this activity, the Director's Decree regarding the Inauguration of New Students for the 2023/2024 Academic Year was read and the Director's speech was also delivered by PNM Deputy Director I for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance, Dr. Yosi Afandi, S.Sos, M.A.B. In the decision letter and speech, it was stated that this year PNM has confirmed 1,111 new students for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.
Meanwhile, the inauguration of new students was carried out by the Chairman of the PNM Senate, Alief Sutantohadi, S.S., M.Hum. symbolically to two new student representatives. This was then continued with the release of PKKMB attributes and the wearing of PNM alma mater jackets as well as the reading of the Student Promise followed by all PKKMB participants.
The inauguration of new students also indicates that the 2023 PKKMB activities have finished and were carried out smoothly. The 2023 PKKMB activity itself will last for 5 days, starting from opening on August 14 to closing on August 18 2023.
Deputy Director I of PNM said that during these five days new students had received material from the leadership regarding introduction to PNM regarding profile, academics, finance, various student activities and academic administration. New students also receive various coaching from the Madiun District Military Command.
Through the speech read by the Deputy Director I of PNM, the Director of PNM advised new students to develop a national spirit, discipline and toughness as well as the ability to adapt to the PNM Campus environment which they have gained from PKKMB activities. Another important point is related to the obligation to act or behave honestly, as well as promising yourself to obey all the regulations at PNM.
In the speech that was read, the Director of PNM also welcomed and hoped that the new students would be successful during their future study period at PNM.
"Have fun studying and good luck until finally we will be proud to award you the title of Young Expert, Middle Expert and Applied Bachelor in the next two, three and four years." PNM Director's message in the speech read by Deputy Director I PNM.
As additional information, after the closing of the 2023 PKKMB and the Inauguration of New Students for the 2023/2024 Academic Year, there will be additional activities on Saturday (19/08/2023). This activity was the conclusion of a whole series of activities, namely the inauguration and introduction of student organizations (Ormawa) by the PNM Student Executive Board (BEM).
And the following are 1,111 new students accepted at PNM spread across three departments and 13 PNM study programs:
Business Administration Department with 3 study programs, namely:

• D3 English (70 students)
• D4 Digital Marketing (25 students)
Accounting Department with 3 study programs, namely:
• D4 Tax Accounting (117 students)
• D3 Accounting (115 students)
• D4 Public Sector Accounting (23 students)
Engineering Department with 7 study programs, namely:
• D4 Railway Engineering (115 students)
• D4 Automotive Engineering Technology (116 students)
• D3 Computer Control Engineering (114 students)
• D3 Electrical Engineering (115 students)
• D3 Information Technology (119 students)
• D4 Software Engineering Technology (56 students)
