Madiun – Wednesday (7/9), the D-III Electrical Engineering Study Program at the Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) and PKS (Cooperation Agreement) with 10 companies operating in the electricity industry on Tuesday (30/8). The signing of the collaboration took place in the Budi Tjahjono Building Auditorium, PNM Campus 1. Collaboration between PNM and industry is one way to realize the Tridharma of Higher Education and improve graduate competency.
PNM Director Muhamad Fajar Subkhan, S.T., M.T. In his speech, he admitted that he was very happy that industrial partners could be present to jointly realize one of the nation's desires, namely links and matches between industry and universities in order to prepare the nation's children to be more skilled and more acceptable to industry. Furthermore, Muhamad Fajar said that there is one key word, namely education must be brought closer to industry or vice versa.
Apart from signing the MoU and PKS, this activity also included a discussion session between PNM and the electricity industry. The purpose of the discussion is to get concrete input from industry regarding PKS follow-up and industry experience in accepting students and also in PBL (Project Based Learning) activities.
Through this discussion, it was discovered that the world of education, especially Vocational Universities, really involves the industrial world in collaborating. Starting from the curriculum cooking process, the learning process involves industry, as well as equipping students with other skills in the form of competency certificates so that graduates are truly ready to work according to industry needs. The aim is that the Government hopes that through linking and matching with the industrial world it can produce quality students.
