The Student Activity Unit (UKM) G-PLASMA Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) held Advanced Journalism Training (PJTL) on Sunday (30/07). Taking place in the Budi Tjahjono Building Auditorium, Campus 1 PNM, the training was attended by all members of UKM G-PLASMA along with heads of student organizations (Ormawa) and representatives of the Publication Division of all ormawa at PNM.
Alief Sutantohadi, S.S., M.Hum as the supervisor of UKM G-PLASMA said that the PJTL was a regularly scheduled activity by the UKM Press management as a continuation of the Basic Level Journalism Training (PJTD).

The PJTL activity itself presents resource persons who are practitioners in the field of journalism. Among them are Abdul Jalil as Content Manager for Solo Madiun Representative Post and Mizan Ahsani as Digital Manager for Radar Madiun.
In the journalism training, the two speakers presented different material which was divided into two sessions. The first session was filled by Abdul Jalil who presented material related to writing, then continued with material on online journalism and digital news publishing.

Meanwhile, the second session was filled by Mizan Ahsani. The Digital Radar Madiun Manager filled in material related to coverage which was then continued with material about multimedia and visual journalism.
Alief revealed that the PJTL aims to ensure that students are not only able to understand the material but are also able to practice their skills in writing news.

"It is hoped that the students participating in this training will not only be able to understand the material presented by the sources but will also be able to practice their skills in writing news." Alief said.
Furthermore, Alief hopes that the implementation of PJTL can open up opportunities for students to continue to hone their skills in writing news in print and online media.

"Hopefully by establishing good relationships with journalistic practitioners or sources, opportunities will open up for participants to continue to hone their news writing skills in print and news media.online.” Alief concluded.
As additional information, G-PLASMA is an UKM involved and engaged in the field of journalism at PNM. G-PLASMA itself has a function as an information and communication medium as well as a means of developing interests and talents in the field of journalism for students. *(Public Relations Team/PIP PNM)
