In the welcoming session, Kiki said that the inauguration was carried out openly with the aim of conveying to the entire PNM academic community that the four people who were inaugurated had received a new mandate from the government. Therefore, the oaths and promises made constitute a willingness to carry out trust and integrity without abusing the authority given.

"When you receive a mandate, it is true that authority is also given. However, with the oath and promise, the gentlemen who were inaugurated today stated that they were willing to carry out their trust and integrity without abusing the authority they were given. Kiki hopes that the appointed officials can become active learners and be able to take active steps to fulfill their duties and responsibilities to face challenges and various obstacles in the future.

In line with Kiki, PNM Director Muhamad Fajar Subkhan also hopes that officials can carry out their duties optimally. "Officials can carry out their duties optimally because of course with the progress of PNM, without support from officials and staff it would also be impossible. Because they are the ones who actually manage everything, starting from the planning, financial and student affairs aspects." he explained.

Vocational Education and Government Support

When met after the event, Kiki said that the government also supports vocational education. This can be seen from Presidential Instruction no. 9 of 2016 concerning the revitalization of vocational schools and Presidential Decree no. 68 of 2022 concerning the revitalization of vocational education and vocational training.

"This means that the government is very committed to strengthening vocational education, improving services and quality of vocational education throughout Indonesia. This is the first time there has been a presidential instruction and a presidential regulation for one vocational education. So twice in a row from 2016 and 2022. So it is very strong (ed: government support)," explained Kiki.

Furthermore, government support is also visible in the dedication of a special directorate general for vocational education. Which is also supported by commitment in the budget sector through a larger budget allocation for vocations.

Asked about improving the qualifications of vocational lecturers, Kiki said that sending vocational lecturers does not always have to go abroad, but can also be done domestically for both non-degree training and for degrees such as Masters and Doctoral degrees. Vocational lecturers also have their own unique characteristics because they are also given the opportunity to do internships or work in domestic and foreign industries.

"So increasing the qualifications, capacity and quality of lecturers is carried out by giving lecturers the opportunity to do many things in degree education and degree training." he said.

As for the program for sending students abroad, Kiki wants to show that wherever they are, vocational students have the same opportunity to take part in the program as long as they meet the requirements and pass the selection.

"They can (ed: study abroad) and what has happened so far proves that children from Madiun, from Lhokseumawe, from Kalimantan, yes they can. So we open up opportunities, it's up to these students whether they want to take the opportunity or not." Kiki explained.

Kiki also revealed that his party continues to carry out regular evaluations of the programs being implemented. According to him, there is still homework in the access section, namely not just location affordability but also in terms of financing. And in the quality section, it is mainly related to the relevance of competency when graduating to the needs of the world of work. Regarding this, Kiki said that his party was making various improvements to the learning process, curriculum, lecturers and also infrastructure.
