Encourage Lecturers to Publish Books-UPA PNM Publishing Holds ISBN Book Writing Workshop

PNM - Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) Publishing Academic Support Unit (UPA) held an activity entitled "ISBN Book Writing Workshop" on 11-12 September 2023. The activity which took place in Building C, Campus 2 PNM presented two reliable presenters from Yogyakarta.

The first speaker was Prof. Dr. Krismiaji, M.SC., AK., C.A. from YKPN Yogyakarta Polytechnic who has written more than 10 books with ISBN and is a Reviewer for Scopus Journal and Sinta 2 Journal. Meanwhile the second speaker is Prof. Dr. Kusrini, M. Kom. from Amikom University Yogyakarta who also serves as Director of the Master of Informatics Engineering Postgraduate Program.

The workshop, which lasted for two days, invited all lecturers in the PNM environment as participants. The material presented is a combination of theory and practice. The first day's material was filled with an introduction regarding the importance of writing a book as well as how to get ideas for writing a book and the stages. Meanwhile, the second day's activities were filled with consultations on the participants' manuscripts with the presenters and interspersed with material related to editing.

Head of UPA Publishing, Tri Lestariningsih, S.Kom., M.Kom. conveyed that UPA Publishing is one of the supporting units for academic implementation in the PNM environment, especially in the publishing sector. The workshop activity by inviting resource persons who are competent in their fields aims to broaden the insight of lecturers in the PNM environment.

Apart from adding insight, the Head of UPA Publishing, who is familiarly called Tari, also hopes that by attending the workshop, lecturers will be able to write and publish books with ISBN. "So that it can support the careers of lecturers and increase the number of research outputs for the Madiun State Polytechnic," explained Tari. *(Public Relations Team/PIP PNM)
