Final Path: SPMB PNM Holds Test-Based Independent CBT Batch 2

PNM - Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) is holding a Computer Based Test (CBT) Selection for New Student Admissions (SPMB) for the 2nd Independent Test-Based Pathway at Campus 2 PNM on Tuesday-Wednesday, 25-26 July 2023. Not just once, this year PNM is holding the Independent Test-Based Pathway twice. The first wave of CBT itself was carried out on Tuesday, July 4 2023.

The Wave 2 Test-Based Independent Pathway opens registration for 12 study programs (prodi) with two of them being new study programs. The Digital Marketing Study Program is under the auspices of the Business Administration Department and the Public Sector Accounting Study Program which is part of the Accounting Department.

In general, in the 2023 Test-Based Independent Pathway SPMB there are three additional new study programs. One new study program, the Bachelor of Applied Software Engineering Technology (TRPL), has been incorporated since the First Wave of Test-Based Independent Pathways. Meanwhile, two other new study programs, the Applied Digital Marketing Bachelor's Study Program and the Applied Public Sector Accounting Bachelor's Study Program, are starting to open in the 2nd Test-Based Independent Pathway.

"In terms of study programs, we have added two new study programs. In total there are three new study programs this year," explained the Chair of PMB PNM, R. Gaguk Pratama Yuda, SST., M.T.

The Chairman of PMB PNM also said that at this CBT, the study program with the highest number of applicants was the Bachelor of Applied Railways in the field of engineering and followed by Diploma Three in Business Administration in the field of commerce.

Meanwhile, the preparations carried out by the SPMB PNM Team are quite thorough. There were no significant obstacles from either the participant or committee side, mainly related to facilities and networks.

This condition was expressed by a test participant from Ngawi, Reno Bagus Setyawan. Participants who chose Automotive Engineering Technology (TERO) as their first and second choice stated that the facilities and infrastructure at PNM were quite good and good. He also admitted that he did not encounter any problems at all, either from the computer or internet side, when working on the exam questions.

"The facilities and infrastructure are quite good, really good. The computers and internet are smooth, there are no problems at all," said Reno when met after CBT.

Not only the participants, the exam supervisory team also admitted that there were no significant obstacles in implementing CBT this time, both in terms of participants and facilities and infrastructure. Even the few obstacles that arise can be overcome well. This was expressed by Ulip as the CBT supervisor in Exam Room 02.

"There are several problems, such as participants having difficulty entering their username on their account or finding their seat, maybe they are nervous. But overall it is still under control." Ulip said.

Through all the pathways at SPMB PNM in 2023, the Chair of PMB PNM also hopes to be able to obtain students who excel and are able to adapt and follow lectures well at PNM.

"The hope is that those who are accepted will be students who excel academically and mentally. Then they will be able to adapt quickly to PNM and be able to complete four years of study for the Applied Bachelor and three years for the Third Diploma." Gaguk said.

As additional information, the Independent Path SPMB itself is the authority of each university to accommodate various conditions, including for PNM.
