Madiun – Sunday (17/7), the Higher Education Consortium consisting of the Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) along with eight other universities, PT. INKA, PT. KAI and BRIN signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Research and Development of Hybrid-Based Light Trains and Smart Trains. The event took place at PT. INKA was also witnessed by the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi.
The collaboration between the Higher Education Consortium and BUMN was carried out using the Kedaireka Dikti mechanism. Plt. Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education Prof. Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie said that Kedaireka is one of Indonesia's sovereignty in creative creation. Prof. Tjitjik hopes for collaboration and contributions from various parties to build links and matches, triple helix, even penta helix between universities, DUDI (Business and Industrial World), including BUMN and the Government. Government commitment and cooperation is one of the keys to the success of Indonesia's domestic product development program.
Apart from that, BUMN Deputy for Human Resources Tedi Bharata said that the collaboration carried out today was the dream of BUMN Minister Erick Thohir. Tedi Bharata added that collaboration here is an important keyword. BUMN cannot operate alone in the field of research, so it must collaborate with parties who have competence in the field of research, namely universities.
In line with this statement, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi also said that collaborative activities are very important. Collaboration may seem simple, but if it is done in a "team" or together it will be easier.
Budi Karya Sumadi also appreciated the collaborative activities carried out today. He hopes that this collaboration can be carried out actively so that domestic products will increase, universities will develop further, and can help the Government so that Indonesia becomes more advanced.
