Madiun – Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) Railway D-IV Study Program students won 3rd place in the 2022 National Welding Competition. Radiffa Aditama succeeded in getting the 3rd place in the GMAW 3G Plate Welding Category on Monday (19/9). The series of competitions which took place at the Medan State Polytechnic (POLMED) will take place from 15-19 September 2022.
This year, the National Welding Competition has the theme "Preparing Competent and Professional Welding Personnel in the Industrial World". This activity has six competition categories, namely SMAW 2G Pipe Welding Category, SMAW 3G Plate Welding Category, GMAW 2G Pipe Welding Category, GMAW 3G Plate Welding Category, GTAW 2G Pipe Welding Category, and GTAW 3G Plate Welding Category.
Each participant takes part in several stages of activities consisting of a selection of theoretical/written exams, then Welding of Rigs which are adapted to each process chosen by the participant. After that, the top 10 finalists were selected from each competition category. PNM itself sent two representatives, namely Radiffa Aditama (GMAW 3G Plate Welding Category) who won 3rd place and Moch. Isro' Oktaviyanto (GMAW 2G Pipe Welding Category) was entered as a finalist. *(Public Relations Team/PIP PNM)
