PNM and Madiun City District Attorney Inaugurate Restorative Justice House

The PNM Director together with the Madiun City Kajari cut the ribbon for the RJ House at PNM.

Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) collaborated with the Madiun City District Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) to inaugurate the Restorative Justice (RJ) House at PNM Campus 2, West Ring Road, on Thursday (20/07). RJ's house, which is located in the PNM Business Administration Building, was inaugurated by the Head of the Madiun City Prosecutor's Office, Bambang Panca Wahyudi Hariadi, S.H., M.H. together with the Director of Madiun State Polytechnic Muhamad Fajar Subkhan, S.T., M.T.

Rumah RJ is a forum for resolving problems, especially through efforts to reach a peaceful agreement between conflicting parties. However, the Madiun City Kajari said that the RJ House which was inaugurated at PNM was not only a place for resolving disputes or cases. The RJ House can also be used as a forum for legal information activities, such as through the campus attorney program.

PNM Director M. Fajar Subkhan also expressed his gratitude to the Madiun City Prosecutor's Office for working together to initiate the RJ House. Even though PNM does not specifically have a legal study program, Fajar hopes that Rumah RJ can become a discussion space regarding legal issues.

Fajar explained that with the inauguration of the RJ House it was not just about opening a space. The RJ House can also be filled with various activities such as socialization or learning from the Attorney General's Office to PNM academics and people who need services in the legal field. So the prosecutor's office can be closer to campus.

Fajar further assessed that the direction of the inauguration of the RJ House is not only related to the field of Restorative Justice, but can also be filled with other activities. One of them is related to the Ministry of Education and Culture's program through Wiyata Kinarya Merdeka Belajar (WKMB) to avoid three types of violence in the work environment (bullying, sexual violence and intolerance). In this case, it is hoped that the Kejari will be able to provide additional material related to these issues.

As additional information, apart from collaborating with the Madiun City Prosecutor's Office, PNM also collaborates with various agencies to inaugurate other learning spaces. Learning spaces related to various fields are intended for students, lecturers and the community around campus.

Before inaugurating the RJ House, in 2022 PNM first inaugurated two learning rooms. These include the Statistics Corner which collaborates with BPS Madiun City on August 24 and the Tax Center which collaborates with the East Java II DJP Regional Office on September 13. *(Public Relations Team/PIP PNM)
