Madiun State Polytechnic Brings Home 11 Medals at the XIV Porseni Event in 2024

PNM – The Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) contingent won the 2024 Porseni XIV event which was held at the Malang State Polytechnic (Polinema), 20-27 July 2024. A total of 11 medals were brought home by the PNM contingent, consisting of 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 8 bronze medals.

The Polytechnic Porseni which is held every two years is the culmination point for sports and arts events to develop the non-academic interests and talents of Polytechnic students throughout Indonesia. Apart from that, it is also to strengthen ties between students from various polytechnics.

This year there are 58 state and private polytechnics participating in Porseni XIV with a total of 22 sports and arts competitions. The sports competed in include athletics, basketball, volleyball, bridge, badminton, chess, e-sports, futsal, karate, kempo, rock climbing, pencak silat, taekwondo and table tennis. Meanwhile, the branches of art include photography, calligraphy, caricature, monologue, poetry, solo song, stand up comedy and creative dance.

The PNM contingent itself was able to make achievements in various sports and arts. This shows that PNM students are not only capable in the academic field but also non-academic.

Deputy Director for Student Affairs and Cooperation at PNM, Fredy Susanto, S.Pd., M.Pd. expressed his gratitude for the achievements achieved by PNM at the Porseni XIV activities in Polinema. Fredy expressed his thanks to the coaches, trainers,officialas well as PNM athletes and artists.
