PNM – Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) continues to be proud. Two teams from PNM scored another achievement in the 2024 VI National Polytechnic Informatics Student Competition (KMIPN) at the Jakarta State Polytechnic, Wednesday (03/07/2024).
This time the Warrior Team led by students from the Computer Control Engineering Study Program (TKK) again brought victory, namely scoring 2nd place in the categoryInternet of Things(IoT). Not only that, the Alfa Team, led by students from the Information Technology (IT) and Software Engineering Technology (TRPL) study programs, also qualified as finalists in the Game Application Development category.
KMIPN VI 2024 itself was held at the Jakarta State Polytechnic and was attended by 40 polytechnics from all over Indonesia, both public and private. Chairman of the KMIPN VI Committee, Bambang Warsuta, S.Kom., M.T.I. revealed that this competition was attended by 127 finalists from various polytechnics. There are eight categories being contested, namely Animation,E-Government, Hackathon, ICT Business Planning, Innovation Creation, Game Application Design,Internet of Things, and Cybersecurity.
This year, KMIPN VI raised the theme "Vocational Innovation for Future Informatics Trends". This theme emphasizes the importance of vocational innovation in preparing a workforce that is ready to face the digital revolution. This theme is in accordance with the need for vocational education to produce graduates who are adaptive to informatics trends.
The KMIPN VI event was also attended by the Director of PNJ, Dr. Syamsurizal SE, MM; Chairman of the Indonesian Polytechnic Student Affairs Coordinating Board (Bakorma); Vice President of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, Ahmad Munasit; Director and Deputy Director of Indonesian Polytechnics, Forum of Heads of Informatics and Computer Engineering Departments of Indonesian Polytechnics, as well as Partners in the Business and Industrial World (DUDI) who are participating in KMIPN VI in 2024.
KMIPN Champion Subscription Computer Control Engineering Study Program
At the KMIPN VI event, the Warrior Team led by Computer Control Engineering (TKK) students succeeded in winning 2nd place in the IoT category. This achievement is not the first time for the Computer Control Engineering Study Program at the KMIPN event.
Previously, at KMIPN V in 2023, the Berkah Team succeeded in winning 1st place in the IoT category. Likewise, at KMIPN IV in 2022, the Aren Team also succeeded in winning 1st place in the same category. Practically, for three years in a row the PNM Computer Control Engineering Study Program team can be said to be in the top two defending champions in the IoT category at KMIPN.
As additional information,Internet of Thingsor IoT is a concept that involves devices that can send data without requiring direct interaction between humans, either with other humans or with computers. IoT utilizes the internet network to connect these devices so they can exchange data with each other.

Not only the Swordsman Team, PNM also sent the Alpha Team which was led by students from the Information Technology Study Program and Software Engineering Technology Study Program. The Alfa Team succeeded in becoming a finalist in the Game Application Development competition category. The competition encourages participants to be creative and innovate to develop game applications that are able to meet the criteria for games that are educational, useful, have a positive impact and are entertaining (entertaining).
