PNM – A total of 1113 new Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) students took part in the Opening Ceremony for the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) for the 2023/2024 Academic Year on Monday (14/08/2023). Located at Campus 2, PNM Director Muhamad Fajar Subkhan, S.T., M.T acted directly as the ceremony supervisor.
The Director of PNM in his speech said that the 1113 new students were selected and the best students from around 4,523 applicants through five selection routes for PNM new student admissions. These include SNBP, SNBT, Mandiri Achievement, and Mandiri Test Wave 1 and Wave 2.
Meanwhile, the PNM PKKMB activities themselves will be held for five days, starting from the opening on August 14 2023 until closing on August 18 2023. As well as one additional day, namely August 19 2023, which will be filled with the inauguration and introduction of student organizations (Ormawa) by the PNM Student Executive Board (BEM).
PKKMB itself is the first step to welcoming the world of education. PNM Director, Fajar, said that PKKMB is a period of introduction, provision and adaptation that is free from hazing. He also invited and encouraged students to become independent learners. Apart from that, you can also develop a critical thinking attitude and provide solutions to the problems around you, through various materials that will be presented during the PKKMB.
"During this PKKMB period, you will be provided with various materials which will later become the foundation and provisions for undergoing education at PNM." Said the Director of PNM in his speech.
The material presented in this year's series of PKKMB activities was varied. Apart from being provided with basic information regarding the education system at PNM, new students also receive material about defending the country, nation, state and love of the homeland. Furthermore, it is also related to preventing and overcoming intolerance, radicalism, terrorism, as well as preventing ideas that conflict with the Pancasila ideology.
The PNM Director also provided important notes regarding the issues of bullying, drugs and violence, especially sexual violence. Fajar said that PNM supports various efforts to stop acts of violence, one of which is through the formation of a Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (PPKS Task Force).
"With the existence of the PPKS Task Force, I hope that all PNM academics can become intelligent people with character who are far from all acts of violence, whatever their form." Dawn said firmly.
Through PKKMB, Fajar advised that in the midst of busy academic and non-academic activities, new students will still be able to complete their studies on time. Especially if it is accompanied by achievements and organizational experience that are beneficial for yourself and others.
Fajar added that PNM had just scored various national scale achievements. Among them, the Business Administration Study Program won a Silver Medal in the 2023 Business Administration Competition (BAC), the Computer Control Engineering Study Program won 1st Place in the IoT Category and the Information Technology Study Program won 1st Place in the E-Government category in the 2023 National Polytechnic Informatics Student Competition (KMIPN) V 2023, and the Accounting and Taxation Accounting Study Program won six winners in the 2023 Vocational Accounting Olympiad (OAV).
He hopes that new students can also follow in the footsteps of their seniors in achieving various proud achievements. "Use your time as best as possible to explore your potential and improve your abilities by continuing to learn, create and innovate in order to build the nation and state," said Fajar in his speech.
As additional information, the PKKMB PNM Academic Year 2023/20204 carries the theme "Akshana Darma Adibrata". Delivered by the Chair of PKKMB PNM R. Gaguk Pratama Yudha, S.ST., M.T., this theme was chosen because it represents PNM students who are starting to grow and mature and are ready to face the world of college. Where they will be able to become leaders who are authoritative, kind and have noble character.
Gaguk also said that the campus world is a means to forge oneself, both from an academic and non-academic perspective, in order to become a better person. "I hope that new students can utilize their study period with various useful activities, make achievements, and be useful to others." Gaguk said.

Business Administration Department with three (3) study programs, namely:
- D3 Business Administration (119 students)
- D3 English (70 students)
- D4 Digital Marketing (25 students)
Accounting Department, with 3 study programs, namely:
- D4 Tax Accounting (117 students)
- D3 Accounting (116 students)
- D4 Public Sector Accounting (23 students)
Engineering Department, with 7 study programs, namely:
- D4 Railway Engineering (115 students)
- D4 Automotive Engineering Technology (116 students)
- D3 Computer Control Engineering (114 students)
